Happy Easter!

Hi - Sorry its been a bit since I posted.  I have been a little on the busy side.   We are planning on selling our house and buying something else and there are all kinds of things to check out as you can imagine.  Two of our dogs had to have dental work done, one had a major dental surgery and the bill was $1700.00 YIKES!!!!  I just about fainted I tell ya!!!!  I have to say though in all fairness to the dogs they have hardly cost us a cent and one is 10 and the other is 12....Neither of their surgeries were because of bad teeth,  The little poodle Gilby had to have 4 teeth removed because they were really loose and she is up there in years and poor Bailey our Beagle had to have his really large back canine tooth removed and part of the bone removed because the root was so deep.  This is part of a hereditary problem and he will probably have to have the one on the other side removed at some time in the future as well......SO I have been busy playig nurse and doling out medication and coaxing them to eat and drink a bit.

Tonight I had a little spare time and thought I would make a little Easter card with a stamp that I bought last year.  What do you think?  Cute image eh???  Thanks for looking....

On a Roll......

Made a couple of cards I hope you like.  I am rather pleased with the way they turned out.  The Criss Cross card is one that I will be showing at my SU Team meeting tomorrow night.  Each person there will be making one.  The DSP is one of my favs SU Raspberry Tart which I am just about out of so I think I will order some more.....

Thinking outside the box!

OK - I'm going completely out of my confort zone with this card. I usually make much simpler cards and thought I would try to make a card by using some of the elements that I continually see and love usually done with Magnolias. This is a Sarah Kay Image. What do you think? Too much????  I was thinking that maybe raffia would have been better than the ribbon?????

SU Criss Cross Card

When I first saw the Criss Cross card I couldn't decide if I liked it or not but then decided that I would give it a try.  I opened the new DP from SU "Raspberry Tart" and immediately fell in love with it.  I just know that this DP will be one of their biggest sellers!  I really love how the card turned out.  It just goes to show you that sometimes you just have to try things out and see what happens.  Here is the recipe for my card:

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Today was my birthday and what a wonderful day it was.....I received so many cards and birthday wishes...it was awesome!  I wonder if it was because I sent out an email at work yesterday with this message..."As you all know tomorrow is my birthday. I will try to be in by 7 a.m. for my gift and card opening." LOL!!!!!  You have to know me to be able to appreciate my totally warped sense of humor.  Anyway, I guess my email worked because I received fowers, chocolate, a breakfast sandwich, a beautiful plant in a happy face pot, got taken out for lunch and then at afternoon coffee I was surprised with a birthday cake!  Yes I know I am totally spoiled and loved by the people I work with.  For that I am most grateful.  I feel so blessed that I work with some truly fabulous women!
