Time to think about Christmas!

Sorry it's been awhile since I blogged anything.  I've been in a bit of a funk lately with my card making and am trying to get my mojo back.  Hubby and I went to Las Vegas for five days. We met my sister and brother in law there and rented an SUV and cruised around Las Vegas taking in the sights.  We are not much for gambling but we wanted to check it out at least once in our lifetime.  We drove to the Grand Canyon (absolutely stunning in real life!) and the Hoover Dam (very interesting).. The weather was really hot - up in to 100 deg.F. so we were cooking but not complaining after leaving Vancouver and its cooler than usual summer.  Anyway Costco already has some of their Christmas stuff out and there are lots of posters posting Christmas cards so I am trying to get into the mood for Christmas.  Here is a card I made...

Pinwheel card

Beautiful weather today!  I just love it.  I sure feel sorry for the people in the U.S. who are really suffering with high heat and drought.  We complain about the rain here on the West Coast but I think it really makes you apapreciate the nice weather when we get it.  Here is a card I made for my Sunday Once a month challenge group.  Hope they like it.

Party Hearty Birthday Card

It's been awhile since I've posted.  I've been busy relaxing and enjoying my holiday, lots of reading and sleeping lol!  Here's a card I made for my grand daughters birthday this coming weekend.  We will be going over to Vancouver Island to spend the weekend with her family and then back to work on Monday - ugh!  This card is a very close "case" to a card by that I saw on a website "Pretty Impressions".  I just slightly changed it.

Stamps: SU Punch Bunch, SU Curly Cute, SU Party Hearty

Paper/Ink: SU Concord Crush, SU Wisteria Wonder, SU Craft White, SU Pink Pirouette

Punches:  SU Owl Punch, SU small heart punch

 

 

Sea Shells..

 
Made the little tissue flower using the SU scallop punch and lightly misted and scrunched it up and put a brad in the middle.  I thought it made a nice accent to this card. DSP used is SU retired.

A little creating.... Sail Away - SU

Well I finally got around to posting the sailboat card I promised.  I have been making a few masculine type cards that this image is great for... 

 
STAMP: Sail Away from Stampin'Up, Paper - Black c/s and silver - SU, made the sun by using the 1 1/4 circle punch and puching a hole in paper and then sponging the inside of the circle with SU classic Ink - Summer Sun.

 
Stamp: Sail Away SU, Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Island Indigo which I embossed with the Square Lattice embossing folder from SU. I created the clouds by using the scallop circle punch and sponging the little scallops.  Found the little charm in my stash but don't remember where I got it.  I hope Ive redeemed myself by giving you two cards instead of just one. LOL!  I haven't put any sentiments on them yet because it will depend on the occassion that I will be using them for.  Hope you enjoy them.
